Carney Family Newsletter for January

 Better late than never

Sorry to be late with this month's newsletter. After the December newsletter with all the wonderful holiday pictures, January is very very short on news....no holidays, birthdays or other occasions.  The main news is the weather sorry to say. As I look out the window now, I see that the snow plow blocked our driveways with  huge piles of snow/ice mixture. I'm stuck here right now but that's OK.

I would really appreciate more news next month (February) so please send me some news and pictures.

Cpl. Sean Carney

Sean our family wants to thank you for your service.....we are so proud of you.

Let's Talk Weather
Well when they get snow in South Carolina that is something to talk about. Takeshi sent me this picture of their neighborhood when they got a dusting. I wonder what the golfers thought of that!
I think that we all agree that the weathermen don't know what they are talking about most of the time. We were predicted the "biggest snow of the winter" and only got 4 inches here in southeast Michigan yesterday.  Kansas got more I think. Anyway I hear the sputter of the snow blower so I may get out to McDonalds after all.

Carolina Hurricanes
Jacob and Allison went to Raleigh for a hockey game recently (what? and you didn't take your Dad?)
Check out the hat....Allison crocheted that hat for Jacob. She also sent me a lovely winter scarf. My Grandmother taught me to crochet, Allison learned from YouTube. Times have changed.

From the Archives
South Carolina beauties....2008     Look at the beautiful tans.

Me.....frantically searching for news.

See you next month!
