Emma and her friends went to the DIA on Valentines Day.....and this is cool.... when they went in they were give one foam heart to put in front of their favorite work of art. You can see the hearts on the floor in the Rivera Court for those who loved it best. Emma put her heart in front of her favorite landscape painting.

The weather has been the big topic of conversation this week. This morning, here is Michigan, we broke a record with -9 overnight. I so live in fear that my pipes will freeze like they did last year. Tim's car battery died and it took him the whole day to get it fixed and he missed work. Who would have thought that they would put the battery in the wheel well.....geez! It seems that the weather in Kansas has been normal for this time of year but South Carolina has had some very cool temperatures, indeed.
We all heard that Twin got a absolutely fabulous ring for her birthday.
The TBT picture, of course, isn't posted on Thursday but you get the idea....a great old photo. Time marches on and things sure do change. Mike will be the big 50 this July, yikes!

 Mike and Twin's look of utter shock when they see the restaurant bill after having a great but expensive meal out!

 OK, the Mitsuoka family is in for it now! They have ordered flooring for their whole house.....laminate for the kitchen and carpet for all the other rooms. Now, what to so with all the stuff to make room to lay the flooring. Yikes. I hope it will all be done when I get there! I can't wait to see the house, it is going to look so nice.

Chilly Chili Run

 Before the weather turn dreadful, Jim's canoe club made their last run for the season which they always call the chilly chili run. There are years when it is cold and snowy....but they canoe and then come back for some hot homemade chili. This year the temperature was in the 40s.......so it wasn't so chilly after all and it looks like they had a good turn out. Now they are planning for next season.

Emma Goes to Florida

One thing that I love about this online newsletter is I can post all the pictures that I want...yea!

Emma just got back from Florida where she spent 4 days with friends from her drama club. I wish that she was here sitting beside me so that she could tell you all about her trip. She did say that she had so much fun. What a great opportunity. Now she is back to this awful weather in Michigan.

Florida sunshine is just a happy memory!

So proud to announce that John just received his GED.....no prep, no studying, took 2 parts cold and passed them first time. So, now where do you go from here, John?
