Carney Family Newsletter for September

Pumpkin n' Spice

Well, it's almost fall but you wouldn't know it by the temperatures here in Michigan....too hot still. Someone said that normally we have 9 to 10 days of temperatures over 90....this years over 20!
Everyone send out positive thoughts and prayers to Sean who is working so hard to get through this adventure  called boot camp.  Also, send out prayers to my Aunt Pauline who is in the hospital right now and may end up in a nursing home.
A big shout out to two guys who have helped me out this past week. To Jim who put up a much needed handrail down my basement steps and did several other jobs around the house. And thanks to Tim who cut down the jungle behind my garage and helped me start my "rat patrol".
Just heard from Emma and she is very busy working almost full time and overwhelmed with homework and clubs......ha! I told her to keep on clubbing and she laughed and said it was clubs from graphic design classes......funny that I was thinking of my old clubbing days although they didn't call it that back then, lol

Happy Birthday Guys
Best wishes to Mikey who turned 17 (OMG) on September 3rd. A very happy Birthday

and a very Happy Birthday to Liam who also turned 17 on September 10! We all send love and kisses to you both! Liam, is it true that you are now taller than your Dad?

Great Captures!

Jim and Mary Ann's New Car
My brother and Mary Ann came up for their yearly visit and we had a nice time. Above, a picture of an old Model T in front of the restaurant where we ate (great food by the way) and a fun place to eat as well. We ate at Wahlbergers the next night....the best hamburgers ever! I appreciate their visits every year and again thank you, Jim!

Note sand dunes piled up in front of all beach access areas to keep the storm surges from breaching the barriers. I'm sure, by now you have had enough storm news coverage so I will just say that the Mitsuoka family got off pretty easy.......missed work days were the biggest issues. I think that Amy was a bit disappointed that she never had to fire up her new generator.
