Carney Family Newsletter for October

 Keeping Up With the Carneys

Today, as I'm working on this newsletter, a category one hurricane, Ian, has hit Georgetown (where John works). I just talked to Amy and got the update. John and Allison were both off work as the shop closed and Southern Chicken was closed. Amy said that they are all home safe. She sent me some pictures from Pirateland which I posted at the very end of the newsletter. As you will see the ocean came in over the berms and flooded most of the beach area of the camp ground. All is well at home except the pool is filled to the top and at one point probably overflowed.
It went from summer to winter here in Michigan.......Autumn, my favorite time of year. I have everything decorated and my house looks lovely. Thanks you Tim for helping me with end of summer chores!
Looking forward to Amy's visit in a few weeks and I'm also hoping that John will come too. The leaves are starting to turn so hurry up and get here guys.
IMPORTANT MESSAGE!
Please get ready to vote on November 8th. This a very important election. Please vote for the right to choose (Michigan and Kansas) Please vote for candidates that respect your right to vote. Arrange for an absentee ballot if you are away. In Michigan anyone can get an absentee ballot if you are a registered voter.

Looks Good On You Tim
When Tim participated in a golf tournament, they were doing a documentary. The cameraman let Tim try out his gear. A big change from doing videos on an iphone.

Suki was always on the inside looking out until Emma got him a cat stroller. He loves it!

I'm still here turning out a newsletter every month........do you know that I have been doing a family newsletter for over 20 years! In 2000, I mailed out a paper newsletter. I had the best program for that. In 2014 I started an online newsletter and they are all still on the Blogspot page. Amy has all the hard copies in an album. So much fun to look back on our growing family.
Until next month....be safe everyone.

Carney Family Newsletter for August

 August, A BIG News Month

Happy August and Happy Labor day everyone!
Well wishes go out to Emma, who has recovered from Covid and Twin who recently had surgery on both of her hands. Glad that you are both better.
I had a wonderful birthday and you'll read all about it in a minute. I want to give a big THANK YOU to Takeshi, Amy and Allison for coming all the way from SC to celebrate my 80th birthday with me and to Tim who is always there to support me.  Also thank you for the flowers, cake, Cherry pie, cards, birthday dinner and all the well wishes that you sent me. It made my birthday a special one.
I really appreciate all the work that Takeshi, Amy and Allison did while they were here.....the under the bed job was huge and desperately needed, plus all the yard work and repairs......Bless you all!
Now that my power is back on let's get to the news.

BREAKING NEWS
Takeshi Gets Thrown out of Cedar Point
On Sunday, August 28, Takeshi was escorted out of Cedar Point. This was a result of his videotaping from a roller coaster.  Him and Allison had been in the park a short time and had ridden only 2 rides when the incident happened. The park has a hard and fast rule about videos so he was given no warning, escorted out and not given a refund. When asked how he felt about this incident, he replied : "I don't give a shit"

Happy Birthday to Me !
Why didn't my Mom comb my hair before this picture was taken? That was me as a kid, messy hair, dress too short and undies showing.......lol

Best Wishes
Congratulations to Jacob and Allison on their engagement. So happy for you both!
