Carney Family Newsletter for November

 Keeping up with the Carneys......

November has to be my least favorite month of the year although March isn't much better. We make the best of it. I hope that you all enjoyed the Thanksgiving Day Special.

We are all getting ready for Christmas....decorations are going up anyway. I will post pictures again this year of all the trees and holiday lights.

Happy Birthday Amy
Sending birthday wishes your way!

Thanksgiving Break
Emma and Liam were home for the holiday....I didn't get to see Liam but I did have lunch with Emma

What? Another Cruise?
Some people are just addicted to cruising. Another trip to sandy beaches, snorkeling, eating, and sea watching. Every night Takeshi would send me pictures of what he was having for dinner.....worth going on a Carnival ship just for that!

Thanksgiving Special

I think that the whole family had a great Thanksgiving judging by the photos (thank you for sending them to me). Jim and Mary Ann spent the day with her brother, the first holiday together in 3 years. Good food and good company made the Thanksgiving holiday special. In case you are wondering where Emma and Liam were?....they spent the holiday with their grandparents. The only person missing was Sean who is at Camp LeJeune. We're thinking of you Sean.

Thanksgiving in Kansas

Here is Twin slaving over a hot stove.....

Serving Mike a cold drink......
while he watched the Lions game!

The new dining room table looks lovely.....

and there was a place set for Sean.

What a spread......
note new granite countertops

That plate is loaded with goodness
Toasting the holiday....Twin, Mikey and Savannah

Thanksgiving in Myrtle Beach
Everyone in the Mitsuoka family pitched in to make their specialty dishes
Allison did the turkey (via Southern Chicken) and gravy, Jacob did the REAL mashed potatoes and the green bean casserole and Amy did the croissants and mac and cheese. I think Mac and cheese is a southern tradition.
Looks yummy!

Takeshi doing his bit up on the roof putting up the Christmas lights!

 Thanksgiving in Detroit

I forgot how beautiful the Whitney is. It was the first time that I was there during the daylight hours.
This guy was really into his piano....he played Blue Skies (one of my favorites) and put his own jazzy spin on it. I really enjoyed his music.
Squash Bisque with cinnamon creme fraiche.
Turkey dinner
Dessert (the best part) pumpkin cheese cake, chocolate mousse in a chocolate shell and apple tartlet
