Carney Family Newsletter

Stay cool!

I don't know how these months go by so quickly but here it is half way through July already. Very little news to report...if there is, no one is telling me about it.
Can't wait for my summer visitor coming next week. Have all kind of plans for Allison and I...just hope it will cool off a little. Neither of us like hot weather. Hoping to get Allison and Emma together to take a picture of them both to put side by side with this one.

Looking forward to the dog days and sitting in my rocker on my front porch. I decided no work for the whole month of August!

My Photos on Exhibit
Had the opportunity to hang my photos with my photograph group at the Downriver Council for the Arts. Had fun at the reception. Photos will be on display until the end of the month.

Car Show in Kansas

Don't understand the gun but of course the guys are very interested.

Pokemon Go

John is in hog heaven playing Pokemon Go. I really don't understand the game other then it uses GPS to locate all the characters. I know that there has been tons of media coverage and a lot of adults complaining (of course). Anyway, John has been big time into Pokemon since he was a little child collecting everything out there related to it. He even went so far to give up his beloved flip phone and get an iphone so he could get the app. Have a fun summer John.

Heart Broken
This picture of a House Finch was taken this spring at the Nature Center at Huntington Beach State Park. Just found out this morning that the Nature Center burnt to the ground last night. Animals that were on display inside all died as well. It is so sad....... I really hope that the state will provide funds to rebuild.
