Carney Family Newsletter for June

......and the livin' is easy

Well, summer is here!  After a very cold and wet spring summer has arrived and I am not going to complain about the heat. We just had our Downriver Cruisin' which kicks off the summer season and July 4th is this Thursday so we are well into summertime.
As I write this, I am thinking of Emma who is moving into her new apartment today. I think about all my grandkids and wonder what they are doing right now.
On to the news.......

Happy Birthday Emma!
Wishing you all the best on your 20th birthday....hope you had cake!

It was only 10 miles
Puff,puff,puff

Gatlinburg
Tim and Sarah went to Tennessee to attend a wedding....beautiful weather and they had a great time.

Takeshi's Pet Snake
Imagine you are in your backyard pulling weeds and are confronted with a poisonous Copperhead....yikes! Snake Holes all over back there.  The snake was gone the next day. I can tell you who won't be going in that backyard anytime soon.

Waiting for Emma

PGA Golf in Detroit
Tim and Liam at the Rocket Mortgage golf classic....first PGA event in Detroit ever. Tim went with his friend Todd again on Saturday. I think he was in heaven those two days.

Just back from Italy
Mikey and friends just back after a fabulous trip to Italy. I'm waiting for pictures and hope to have them for next month's newsletter.

Smokin'

Motown Museum
I have lived in the Detroit area for many years and never visited Hitsville USA. Barb and Mary Jo and I had a great time seeing all the Motown history and studio A where all the classic songs were recorded.

Star of the Month
Takeshi is our star if the month for June. What a guy! He is kind and generous and Mr. Popularity down in the Myrtle Beach area. We never go anywhere that he isn't recognized and greeted. We are so lucky to have him in our family.

Young explorers.....Emma and Liam

Enjoy July you all!

Me in my backyard.
After filling the bird feeder, hanging a new niger sock, cleaning and filling the Hummingbird feeder, cleaning and filling the birdbath, I am now ready to relax. Only my binoculars are missing....LOL.
