Fun Fotos

I remember doing these for valentines day, I believe in 2009.
I had fun doing them even though it was a lot of work.

Carney Family Newsletter, March

In the news..............

Well, I think that Spring is finally getting here. We still have more snow to melt but the temperatures are certainly more bearable...... my gas bill was $245 this month but I am hoping for a much lower one for April. Can't wait to get out of here though...sun and palmettos..yea! So just a note to say next month's newsletter will be a bit late.
I think that most of the news is covered in the following postings but to add to that....
Emma is in the Spring play at her school. They are doing "Cinderella". She is a villager and gets to sing again. Can't wait to see it at the end of April.
Liam has been playing basketball in the rec league.
John and Allison are busy helping to get their house back together.
Mikey and Sean.......don't know any news from Kansas except the kids have been on spring break this week.
Tim is stopping by for a few minutes today so I am looking forward to that.
Will be posting photos from SC on my Blog "Through Carol's Lens" but will post pics and a link on this blog as well.

Interactive blog.....
Did you know that our newsletter is interactive? If you want to add a comment it is easy...just hit comment on the bottom of each post and go to anonymous to post unless you have Gmail, which you could use instead. The only ones that have commented so far have been 2 posts from Liam's friends. Of course, kids can figure out that in no time and they had fun with it. They liked my "mixtape" playing in the background...I think they were poking fun at my birdsong ;-)
Remember if you click on a picture it goes to a viewing screen and the picture is enlarged.
The last posting of this newsletter is at the bottom with pics of Mike's Wildlife Preserve.

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you all!

Takeshi, Twin and myself are the only ones in the family that cannot claim any Irish ancestry. Do you all know where your Irish heritage comes from? Grandpa Joe's maternal grandmother emigrated  from County Cork at the turn of the century. His Dad was also half Irish.....both of his parents came from England but his father was Irish hence the sir name Carney.
Now, kids, remember you are a mix of a lot of other ancestry from your Moms and Dads. Latino, Romanian, Slovak, Japanese, and more. I hope that one day you will become curious and research your own background.

Happy Birthday Takeshi

 Happy Birthday to you..........
OMG! What an adorable little Cub Scout!
Takeshi with his Grandmother (I think) John looks just like him!
Takeshi.... when he first came to America...working at Sushi Iwa in Woodhaven.  Amy was a hostess there and that's when they met. Takeshi is in the back on the right. This picture was taken from the menu, I believe.
We have fun with old pictures on Thursdays on facebook....Throw Back Thursdays. Takeshi posted these and the picture in the post below was posted by Twin. Imagine when I got on facebook and saw a picture of my Mom? Made my day!

TBT as posted on Facebook

Twin and Mom at Christmas...1998????
We all remember that kitchen, great meals, fabulous bake goods ;-)
Miss my Mom and Dad!

New Floor Adventure

Recently the Mitsuoka family underwent a huge upheavel. They had the whole house re-floored in one day. It was a lot of work and the whole family pitched in. Looks nice in the pictures....can't wait to see it.

Yikes!
