Carney Family Newsletter for August

The word for the month of August is travel....day trips, weekend trips and trips to my back yard...lol. It's going to be a big holiday weekend for some. Tim's band is playing at the state fair and I'm hoping that you will all support The Vendors by voting for them on Saturday. Refer to the link below to vote, you will only have one hour.
As you may have heard, with all my pissing and moaning, that I lost power again last week. it was out for 24 hours this time. I'm getting to fear a raindrop. At least it wasn't as hot as last month's outage.
I  want to thank everyone for your birthday wishes, gift cards and delicious meal. It was an OK birthday for turning 81 which is depressing in itself.
So, let's get on with this month's news!

The Vendors

Chicago
Liam and Noelle traveled to Chicago to see Emma. They had lunch with Emma and her boyfriend, Christian.

Missouri
Mike and Twin took a day trip to Missouri.....did a little shopping too. Here is Twin modeling the latest in hats

Charleston
Jacob and Allison took a day trip to Charleston. I love this iconic Charleston pineapple fountain
Jacob on the rock wall

That's Allison....she looks like a pro.

Wilmington, NC
Allison and Jacob did more rock climbing in Wilmington and also saw this ship (I think it's the battleship North Carolina)

Emma's Visit Home
I got to have lunch with Emma and Liam at our favorite Big Boy. Loved seeing them both.
Emma got to see her Dad play with the Vendors. I love this photo....thanks Kim

Nashville

Mike Spotted his brother on TV on the field before the game.....he got a screenshot which was so cool.

Michigan Visitors
Mike and Twin had company from Michigan. Twin's friend and her husband visited on their way home from Colorado. Her friend, Cecilia, worked with her many years ago at Bali's

Archives
So.....I was looking through my pictures and just chose random pics of everyone. It's so much fun looking at all these old memories.

This is for you Mike.....this wasn't our Isleys but it does look just like it. I think ours was bigger. Loved the Sundays that we took a Sunday drive and stopped first at Isleys to get a skyscraper ice cream cone.
Tim (with my hat on) and Amy, helping with groceries.

HoHum
Until next month
