Carney Family Newsletter for December

Happy Holidays

Well, Christmas is almost here and I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I was having a conversation with a friend and we were reminiscing about holidays past and how our families have shrunk to a bare minimum. We used to have huge family gatherings at both my grandparents and later with you kids and our trips to Ohio..... we had plenty of family around us. It makes me feel so sad and lonely that we can't all be together again. Luckily, Tim is still around and Emma and Liam fill the void....so, looking forward to Christmas Eve with my little family group. I will be thinking of you all over this holiday season.
We have been hit pretty hard with this weather (as well as Ohio and Kansas) and we will have a white Christmas for sure. The temperatures have been brutal and we will have snow on the ground for months, I think. So, on to the news.....

Takeshi took this beautiful sunrise picture...wow! I'm using it as my cell phone wallpaper.

Chilly, Chili Run
Well, this year was definitely a very chilly gathering for the Trumbull Canoe Trails....quite the snow storm on the Mahoning river.
Really a good gathering
Snow and chili for all....
