Carney Family Newsletter for December

Merry Christmas Everyone

Picture by me...at The Henry Ford with effect by PIP
I hope that everyone is all ready for the holidays. It looks like there is no chance of a white Christmas this year. Mike and Twin and the boys are going to spend Christmas in Texas with Twin's family. Takeshi and Amy have their holiday traditions which include "Night of a Thousand Candles" and church on Christmas eve. This year, after Tim and the kids leave, I plan on venturing out to midnight Mass at St. Josephs in Detroit. The pre-game starts at 11pm with a performance of Handel's Messiah with the men's Capella, the choir and a chamber orchestra. The Tridentine Solemn High Mass follows at midnight. ....all in Latin by the way. I don't think I will get home much before 2am. Really looking forward to the wonderful music and the decorated church......let's just hope that I don't get mugged.
So, let's get started with the news...old and new.
