Carney Family Newsletter April

Better late than never...just fitting in the April Newsletter at the very end of the month but then I have been busy! Read on for all the news!
I always appreciate anyone who visits my blog. I have already posted photos of Emma's play and will soon be posting pictures that I took when I was in South Carolina. So, stop by and visit me at :

Happy  Birthday Jim!
A very Happy belated birthday to my brother, who looks great for a young guy!
We all hope that you had a great day.

South Carolina
I had such a wonderful 3 weeks visiting Amy and Takeshi in Myrtle Beach. Thank you for your generous hospitality, wonderful meals at home or abroad, to Allison a big thanks for the use of her pretty bedroom and to John for the daily use of his van, I had a great time and miss you all terribly :-(

I loved my almost daily treks to either Brookgreen or the state park. Everything was in bloom and I have already forgotten the rainy days. A penny to anyone who can find the little Hummingbird in this photo.
Here we are in Charleston waiting for our carriage ride (in the rain). Below we are in front of Poogan's Porch, the restaurant where we had lunch...ummm!

I love this picture of Amy and Takeshi even though the quality itself is bad....but the look on Takeshi's face is priceless.
These are beautiful Azaleas at Magnolia Plantation. Amy, Allison and I went there again this year and toured the house this time. The gardens are so pretty but we liked the gift shop best.

Allison
Allison at Brookgreen Gardens
Had fun shooting pictures with Allison.
Looking forward to her visit in June.

Takeshi at the Hornets game
The Charlotte cheerleaders took exception to Takeshi's Pistons shirt.

Mike Looking Younger Everyday!

Working in the yard
Remember last month Mike made a bed for Mikey...this month he made this picnic table...pretty cool. He is a regular John Bozdog and showing some latent woodworking skills..

Emma in Cinderella
I really enjoyed seeing Emma in her school play. She was a villager as well as a dancer at the ball. The play was kind of interactive and the kids loved it. I had some guy in the aisle singing to me...fun!

Photo Shoot
We went on a shoot Saturday to the Detroit Public Library....what beautiful architecture! Afterward we went to the DIA for lunch because we love their mac n' cheese :-)
Here is Barb and I with the library in the back ground. Woodward is under construction as they are putting in a light rail system. These photos were taken by my teacher, Jeff Thomas.
Pictures below are mine.

Photos by meeeee!
