Amy, Allison and Jacob were here to visit but the surprise was Mike coming in from Kansas. I had no idea....they really pulled one over on me! We had so much fun and lots of laughs....such a pleasure to have them here. A lot of work got done and I am so appreciative. Work in the yard and the house were done by my work crew.....thank you so much you guys. Love you all!
The big challenge was the ornamental grass that grows 10 feet tall. Every year it is a challenge to cut it back and this year it got blown over by the wind....it was a mess. We decided to try to dig it out and Jacob was the hero of the day......working his butt off until it was all eradicated. Allison weed whacked everything and fabric was was rolled down and and then covered with mulch. It will be a relief not to fight the weeds and Tim will appreciate not having to weed whack it all. Behind the garage was another area they tackled and it was a mess.....clear now.

The total revitalization of the old train station by the Ford Motor company was worth a visit but it was Saturday and unfortunately was closed. It is a magnificent building now and houses Ford's headquarters for electric vehicles.

We also spent a lovely Sunday at Kim's......thank you Kim for having us. We got to meet Kim's family. It was fun watching the Lion's game, Cornhole competition and great food. Somehow I got no pictures from that day.
It's very quiet around here now and a bit lonely but I am so appreciative of their company and all their hard work. God willing we will do it again next year!
