and a Merry Christmas to all......

Just a short newsletter  to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas. I hope that all of you have a very nice holiday season! Will be thinking of you.

 Happy Holidays!

Surprise, Surprise!
What a surprise when I answered the door and there was Mike and Mikey coming to visit me! A pre-Christmas visit! So happy to see them.
Mikey checking out the bake goods in Greektown.
In Greektown in front of Wahlburgers. We didn't eat there but thought it more appropriate to eat Greek at Pegasus. Guys were not impressed with the snow and cold. We had about a foot of snow when they were here (all melted now and it looks like no white Christmas for us)

Interrupted

Well, all my postings and my Christmas preparations were interrupted by a surprize visit from my son and grandson (Mikey, above). Enjoyed 3 days visiting. We did a nighttime tour of Detroit and ate in Greektown....lots of fun. Now, the house seems really empty and quiet. My other son, Tim, was here today to wrap his xmas presents so I have had plenty of company. Back to the real world of Christmas prep for me tomorrow.

Snow

This is an old crock that Buni used to make pickles. On top is a birdhouse that my Dad made years ago.....I had wrens nesting in it the summer before last. Looks pretty in the snow.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Sure wish that I could be with you today...or be with anyone for that matter. Who is roasting the best turkey? I hope that you all have a great day and that the Lions win!
Still waiting for all the leaves to fall and they better by December 8th as that is our last yard waste pick up. Mother Nature better follow the rules ;-)

Takeshi sent us pictures daily when he was in Japan and I felt like I was traveling with him. Many photos of food as well as all the place he visited.

Guess Who!

Too scary and to make matters worse, this monster is in someone else's house.
