School Daze and Other News

Back to school has started in Kansas and South Carolina with our Michigan kids starting back on September 8th and I hear that everyone is very excited about school! Ha! I personally can't wait for Autumn, my favorite time of the year. Also, Amy will be visiting me in October and I am really looking forward to that. Jim and Mary Ann were here in July but I have no pictures to share of that visit. It was so hot we just went to the movie and stayed inside and visited (and talked politics). We did go up to Jonny Cakes for breakfast and everyone enjoyed their pancakes.
When I edit a picture I try to clone out any unsightly things in the photo like trash cans for instance. Keep your eyes open for a place that I couldn't fix so I solved that by  adding something that is totally out of place but lots of fun. Let me know if you spot it.

Happy Birthday to me!

Ok, no cake for me. Although I would love to be young again I don't think that I would want to go through all life's trials and tribulations. I guess that I would like to be 10 years younger and in better health....that would make me happy. This picture of me at about age 16...same age as Emma, Allison and Sean now.

Remembering Mom

Mom's birthday is August 31 and I am thinking about her and remembering that she would be 97. She has  been gone 10 years this October. Miss her!

Get Better Soon Twin!

Cheers to you too Twin and here's hoping that you have a speedy recovery from your back surgery! You are lucky to have such a great nurse to take care of you (Mike).

Back to School

Foo Fighters

Recently, Sean and Mikey and friends went to see the Foo Fighters in concert. Sean wore his Dad's old Van Halen tee shirt (that I thought I threw in the rag bag) that is from 1982. Fits you perfect Sean.....rock on!

Down the Allegheny River

These are from an overnight camping/canoe trip that Jim went on. I love the picture below and wish it was big enough to enlarge. It looks like Jim is all alone on a big river.

Belle Isle

Spent the day with the kids on Belle Isle and also lunch in Greektown. No school for them for another 2 weeks1

Rehab Addict

Went on a photo shoot downtown with a few of my photographer friends. We went to see where they are filming the new Rehab Addict for HGTV. Walked the whole Brush Park area. Nicole Curtis wasn't there but they were filming. For more check out my blog

Keeping it in the Family

Well, it seems like summer has flown by and it won't be long when some kids I know will be back in school. Let's hope the weather cools down because Kansas and South Carolina have been boiling.

It seems that this month's newsletter is all about the Kansas branch of the family because that is where the news is. So here we go...

Happy 50th Birthday Mike!

Keepin' it Cool

With the heat and humidity in South Carolina the Mitsuoka family has found relief at a pool

that they are able to use. Takeshi's boss gave them the code to get into his apartment complex to use the pool whenever they want. It sure looks refreshing!
